Remote control of devices via TCP/IP
Remote Control Software for TREMOL products
For that purpose the application Tremol Remote Control Client (can be found in the Files section) is needed. The software creates tunnel providing the data transfer between TCP/IP and serial port or serial port emulation. Simple filter system based on IP addresses or names is supported. In any moment only one client can connect to the tunnel. Therefore, if developing connecting software, it is necessary to close the connection right after acknowledgement is received. This is necessary in cases there are many clients for a single device.
Tremol Remote Control Client configuration
The configuration is carried through the start screen of the application.

- Choose Passive mode
- Choose at which interfaces (addresses) the connection is expected - default state all
- Choose port - default 5445
- Choose serial port and baud rate
- In case the serial port is been used on the local computer remove the tick Keep selected port open
- Press Apply to store the settings
- Press Start to open the tunnel
At this stage the operation with the device should be carried through TCP/IP instead of serial connection. Remember that until the connection is opened all other connections are idle. Therefore it is necessary right after the completion of command or commands set to close the connection.
Configuring Tremol Ltd software to operate with Tremol Remote Control Client
Since this moment the following applications by Tremol support TCP/IP access instead of serial connection: ECR Helper, FPRWin and Tremol Device Searcher. To configure any of this applications to work via TCP/IP it is necessary to enter in the field for COM port the computer name or IP address. In case of using port, different from the default (5445), is necessary in the end of the address to type :port_number
Example: www.tremol.bg:7000 or 192.168.1.1:8560
